Designed and delivered by LOYD Shipyard for a UK-based operator, this 17-metre aluminum fire-fighting vessel represents the latest in purpose-built port and harbour emergency response. The deep-V planing hull combines a lightweight 5083-series aluminum structure with a wheelhouse engineered to withstand intense operational conditions, delivering top speeds of up to 30 knots with a cruising range of 300 nautical miles. Twin CAT C18 main engines, each generating 873 hp at 2,200 rpm via fixed-pitch propellers, ensure powerful and reliable propulsion across all sea states. A 600 m³/hr fire pump feeds dual manually-operated monitors and one remote-controlled monitor, providing flexible firefighting coverage from any approach angle. Fuel capacity of 2,800 litres — extendable to 3,800 litres with an external tank — combined with 900 litres of fresh water keeps the vessel self-sufficient for extended deployment. Crew accommodation is rated for 2 professional crew and up to 8 firefighters, reflecting the vessel’s role as a rapid, high-capacity emergency responder.
